Classes will include an introduction to tools, step-by-step weaving instruction, and tips for creating a beautiful basket. Each student will weave a 5.5-inch round coaster (small basket) that is perfect for displaying on tables or holding treasures – a textbook example of the intersection between form and function. The round coaster is the classic starting place for many weavers because it is a lovely size and shape; everyone will be able to proudly display heirloom baskets at the end of our 8-week session. Once you make one of these baskets, you will most likely make many more. No experience needed.
